An entire village in Northern India came out of bonded labor slavery, with support from Free the Slaves. Survivors in this community have trained in lampwork glassmaking and have created these beautiful beads. The earrings were then assembled at the Destiny program for newly independent survivors in Calcutta.

Delicate blush pink seed pearls and etched silver beads provide harmonious accompaniment to the engraved cross on this 16" necklace with sterling silver hook and eye closure. The organization that makes this necklace goes regularly into the red light districts, offering roses and free haircuts to the women trapped there, many of whom were trafficked into prostitution as children.
